Cerrig yr Afon respite nursing and residential care home Bangor North wales Cerrig yr Afon Nursing & Residential Home
Just recently, Matron Maggie Hawley has experienced lot of enquiries with regard to Respite care. We’re consistently finding that people know of someone, somewhere who is caring for a family member and they’re finding it tough going at times. Respite care can greatly benefit both the carer and the patient, leaving both parties invigorated. So, the question is, what is Respite care and how does it benefit the care giver? Respite care is designed specifically to replace the care you usually provide for someone else. It’s needed so that you can look after your own health and well-being, giving you a break from caring. It’s also something Cerrig yr Afon started to look into some time ago, and we now have a dedicated room just for Respite care patients, where the families reserve dates in the year when they know they can take a break themselves.
We have our regulars who come to stay, and there is a strong possibility that we’ll soon have to make another room a dedicated Respite area as it’s become so popular. If you’d like to book someone in for a short or long stay, just give us a call and a reservation can be made in advance, giving you peace of mind.
